How do I become a
member?
Tri Delta recruits new collegiate members through an organized
process called formal recruitment. Formal recruitment at the
University of Washington is held in September just before school
begins.
Who selects new
members?
Only collegiate Tri Delta members have the opportunity of selecting
new members. While the Tri Delta Nationals have an established
procedure to guide chapters in this process to ensure consistency,
the members themselves make their own decisions. In Tri Delta, we
take pride in our individualism and uniqueness. Through our
diversity of personalities, academic interests and hobbies we are
able keep our bonds of sisterhood strong. Tri Delta is looking for
women who will bring the qualities that our members themselves have
and take pride in, such as: lifelong commitment to the sorority, a
passion and desire for community service, a strong moral and womanly
character, motivation for academia, and a wish to join an
organization with a long history of idealistic strong sisterhood.
Why Tri Delta?
To keep with our founders' ideals more than a century old, our
purpose is to establish a perpetual bond of friendship among our
members, to develop a stronger and more womanly character, to
broaden the moral and intellectual life, and to assist our members
in every possible way. Tri Delta encourages and fosters an
atmosphere for friendships among women, promotes educational and
outside interests, creates a sense and desire for social
responsibility and develops strong character qualities in its women.
Every member is unique and important to the chapter as a whole.
Tri Delta is more than just a
collegiate experience; it is a lifetime of loyalty, memories,
opportunities and comfort.
